Re: HB214 – Labor and Employment - Wage Payment and Collection Law - Definition of Wage - Oppose

Dear Delegate Davis:

HB214 would extend the definition of "wage" as used in the Wage Payment and Collection Law to include overtime wages.

The Legislative Committee of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce opposes this bill. This bill would further legislate on the matter of wage collection when that subject is already adequately covered under the law.

We therefore ask that your committee give this bill a negative report.
