Each year the Chamber holds its Winter Gala Dinner Dance to raise money for the scholarship fund. The Charles D. Schaffer Scholarship was established as a memorial to Mr. Schaffer, executive director of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce. The first scholarship was awarded in 1986. With the continued support of our members and sponsors the Chamber now presents $1,000 scholarships to deserving students attending our local colleges, McDaniel College or Carroll Community College, to pursue a business-related major.
