From The Chair It is an honor and a privilege to serve as this year’s Board Chair for the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce. Without a doubt, I hope you share my excitement at being part of one of the most prestigious organizations in Carroll County. During these difficult economic times, membership in the Chamber is more important than ever. We need to support each other by working together, not just shaking hands, but by getting behind each other and doing business with each other!
My suggestion to each of you is to prioritize scheduling Chamber meetings and networking events on your calendars. Join a committee to increase your networking opportunities and visibility in the Chamber and in our community. Involve your staff! Encourage your employees to represent your company by attending some of the many different functions that the Chamber holds each month. Make your business and yourselves known!
As Carroll Countians, we are privileged to have everything a large metropolis enjoys, but with a “home town” feel. The bank I chose to work for, New Windsor State Bank, has this small town feel too, plus something extra special. Our philosophies, my company’s, and mine are the same – we believe in giving back to the community in which we do business. Early on, I knew I had to have a career where I could help people in some way. I enjoy working in Carroll County and having the opportunity to give back for all that I have been fortunate enough to receive. My job, and and also my pleasure, is to make banking at New Windsor State Bank a first-class experience.
The Chamber provides a great opportunity for its members – a platform on which to grow and thrive through unity and strong mutual support. As the needs and problems of businesses and the community change, the Chamber adapts its programs and services to ensure that the needs of its members are consistently met.
