The Five Finalists for the 2016 Carroll Biz Challenge have been chosen! After nearly two hours of grueling deliberations, the Advisory Committee chose the Five Finalists from 26 applications.
And the finalists are:
- Enter Exit Escape – Kristen Ellis
- Fermentation Creation – Jon Lusby & Greg Griffith
- Maryland Wine Cellars – Drew Baker
- Once Upon a Crumb – Heidi Burnett & Brittany Zaruba
- Panta Rhei – Tyler Van Dyke & Jeb Shingler
The Finalists will pitch their ideas before a live audience and a panel of four judges at the Live Finale on Thursday, August 11 at the Carroll Arts Center.
One of them will win the $5,000 Grand Prize!
Additionally, one finalist will win the $500 People’s Choice Award (chosen by the audience) and one of the original 26 applicants will be awarded the $2,000 Downtown Award.
