AMBASSADOR COMMITTEE

Ambassadors serve as official representatives of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce. They welcome new members with a phone call or visit and help with introductions at events. Ambassadors also keep in touch with existing members to provide feedback on Chamber services.

Qualifications: Good interpersonal skills and frequent attendance at Chamber events. Must be a member of the Chamber for 3 months before submitting an application to be an Ambassador.

BUSINESS & EDUCATION COMMITTEE

The committee nurtures the working relationship between the business and education communities. It works closely with the Carroll County Public School System. The committee plans the Outstanding Teacher Awards and Drug & Violence Awareness Expo.

Meetings: 1st Friday of each month at 8:30 AM. Call for location
Qualifications: Interest in the education system and the development of our future workforce

FINANCE COMMITTEE

The Finance Committee is the Executive Committee and responsible for monitoring the Chamber’s financial position and forecasting its future needs. The Finance Committee reviews the annual budget, reports financial performances and makes recommendations to the Board of Directors.

PUBLIC SAFETY AWARDS COMMITTEE

Members from Local Law Enforcement Agencies, CCVESA, Fire Departments and local Campus Safety worked with the Chamber to plan the Annual Public Safety Awards to recognize the achievements of Carroll County Public Safety Professionals.

GOLF COMMITTEE

Members plan, coordinate and market the Chamber’s annual Golf Outing. The Outing offers players an opportunity to socialize with business associates, and to develop new relationships. Proceeds from the Golf Outing help fund the Chamber’s programs and services.

Qualifications: Interest in sporting competitions, marketing and developing relationships with members

LAUNCH CARROLL COMMITTEE

We aim to equip and energize the next generation of business leaders and help them establish successful careers and businesses. Through networking events, community service projects and professional development opportunities, we will help launch the next generation of business leaders and professionals right here in Carroll County.
Chairman: Carli Cofiell, Crawford Yingling Insurance
Staff Liaison: Mike McMullin
Meetings: The committee meets as needed to plan the groups activities.
Qualifications: Young professional 21-45 years old and a member of the Chamber.

LEADERSHIP CARROLL COMMITTEE

The Leadership Carroll Committee coordinates Leadership Carroll, a program designed to develop emerging and existing community leaders. The Leadership Carroll program is a partnership of the Chamber and Carroll Community College.

LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE

Members representing various business categories serve as the Chamber’s voice on legislative matters. Committee members review bills online on their own time and make recommendations on new laws and regulations. They meet weekly during Maryland’s legislative session.

Meetings: Every Monday during the legislative session (Jan – April) at an 11:30 AM lunch meeting in Westminster.

NEW MEMBER COMMITTEE

Members of the New Member Committee act as sales or marketing representatives of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce. They work with Chamber staff to identify and recruit future members through personal visits, phone calls and emails. They are familiar with all benefits of membership and able to share these benefits with potential new members.

Qualifications: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. They are passionate about the local business community and the Chamber’s critical role in Carroll.
