Chamber Members Connecting with Our Local Community Amidst COVID-19 Again!

“Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light” – J.K. Rowling
Here at the Chamber we are hearing and seeing great things from our members who are connecting and giving back to our community during these most difficult times. In an effort to uplift our community, we will be showcasing some of these stories over the next few weeks. Check out these great stories below!
Tomlin Technology, Inc. has embarked on a mission to mass produce 3D printed masks that are being distributed for free to our local first responders, nursing homes, and various other organizations in need of this equipment. Check out their GoFundMe page to follow their story and progress!
Mercer Floor & Carpet One has been donating wood shipping pallets to those who need construction supplies for home maintenance; cardboard carpet tubes for those needing craft construction supplies for children’s entertainment; and disposable shoe covers and dispensers to local medical personnel.
Shelter Systems donated two truck loads of pallets to the Maryland National Guard to be used for packaging of essential supplies. Check out their Facebook Page for pictures!
Wastler Auto Service Tire Pros is sponsoring an on-going food drive for Together We Own It. Items may be dropped off in the bin outside of their store, located at 4174 Ridge Road, Westminster, MD 21157
Ting is providing the Ting Park & Wi-Fi to those in Westminster who need internet access (More information can be found here). Also, Ting is giving away hundreds of dollars of gift cards (to local businesses) on their Facebook Page. Ting, in conjunction with staff members of Carroll Hospital, were also able to make raw components for face shields that will be utilized by front line workers. Lastly, Ting has donated to Together We Own It and Carroll County Food Sunday for families in need.
